Michigan State journalism student joins Lezotte Miller Public Relations Inc.

Madeline Kelly, a metro-Detroit resident, has joined Lezotte Miller Inc. as a project assistant intern for the fall semester. She drafts news releases for state-wide media outlets, tracks media coverage and conducts research.

“Everyone here carries a different set of skills," said Kelly. "I know their advice and knowledge will help me succeed as a public relations professional.”

Kelly will graduate in May 2019, with a degree in journalism and with a double minor in public relations and sociology.

In addition to the LM Inc. internship, she is an intern for MSU's Communications and Brand Strategy Department, is a social media chair for the Make-A-Wish chapter, MSU Stars, and is a teaching assistant for a creative communications course. After graduation, Kelly hopes to have a successful career in the non-profit public relations field and be a freelance journalist.
