Lezotte joins Michigan Dyslexia Institute board of directors
Barbara Lezotte, president of Lezotte Miller Public Relations Inc., has been elected to the Michigan Dyslexia Institute board of directors for the 2012-2013 year.
The Michigan Dyslexia Institute is a statewide nonprofit educational organization that provides training for instructors to work with students and resources for families coping with dyslexia.
MDI is the only organization in Michigan focusing exclusively on the needs of children and adults with dyslexia through programs such as direct remedial reading instruction, public information and Camp Starlight. It was established in 1982 and serves as a model for similar organizations in other states such as Indiana, Missouri, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
