Former Bloomberg News and Detroit Free Press reporter Chris Christoff has joined Lezotte Miller Public Relations Inc. as a writer and media specialist.
Reporting on Michigan government and state financial issues for Bloomberg News for four years, Christoff kept readers up to date on the Detroit bankruptcy saga, among other high profile issues. As the former Free Press Lansing Bureau chief, he spent 25 years in the Capitol Press Corps covering state government. Christoff was a frequent guest on WKAR-TV’s “Off the Record” weekly show with Tim Skubick, interviewing lawmakers and commenting on topical political issues. Prior to joining the Free Press, he wrote for the Flint Journal and served in corporate communication for Blue Cross Blue Shield.
“Chris Christoff is a tremendous addition to our team,” says Barbara Lezotte, APR, president, Lezotte Miller Inc. “His media expertise and insight into public policy will help us communicate even more effectively on behalf of our diverse list of issue management clients.”
Christoff earned an undergraduate degree at Michigan State University and studied Journalism at Wayne State University. He is a long time resident of East Lansing.
