National Public Education Campaign
"Changing Course to
Preserve America's Roads"
In 2011, Lezotte Miller Inc. was hired by the National Center for Pavement Preservation (NCPP) to develop a national public education campaign to shift transportation policy
throughout the U.S. toward more effective asset management and pavement preservation. LM Inc.'s campaign included a national and regional media strategy, message development, spokesperson training guide and templates for news releases, op-eds and trade publication articles. During 2011 and 2012, Barbara Lezotte traveled to regional and national NCPP conferences in Boston, Nashville, Reno and Bismarck to introduce the campaign to officials in state transportation departments and local municipalities. The campaign is ongoing as states grapple with the challenge of funding major infrastructure preservation and rehabilitation.
