Internship Opportunities

before you graduate?
LM Inc. interns have gone on to great jobs in major corporations, state associations and the governor’s office.
Our internship
program runs spring, summer and fall semesters of each year.
At Lezotte Miller Public Relations, student interns assist counselors with
research, attend planning and/or creative meetings, track media
coverage as it relates to clients issues, assist with media relations,
including writing press releases, creating promotional materials
and writing newsletters and other articles.
LM Inc. interns
are included in client meetings, brainstorming sessions, publication
design and production coordination to give them the opportunity
to learn the public relations agency business through hands-on experience.
Interns must
be juniors or seniors with strong writing experience. Journalism majors preferred, but will consider other writing or communication majors. Office and research experience
is a definite plus. Interns should be available for a minimum of
20 hours a week.
This is an unpaid,
for credit-only internship.

Duties:
- Conduct research
- Attend planning and/or creative meetings
- Track media coverage
- Create promotional materials
- Write news releases, newsletters and other articles
Requirements:
- College junior or senior
- Strong writing experience
- At least two journalism (or equivalent)
classes
- Availability for a minimum of 20 hours
a week
